My journey with polymer clay began in December 1995 when I kept the first comprehensive book written about Polymer Clay rather than gift it to my daughter as planned. At that time, it was easy to keep up with the advances both in techniques and the clay medium, especially since the number of web sites had not yet exploded. Between web sites and workshops, I have expanded my knowledge and skills over the years.
The unique properties of this medium suit my scientific side and have allowed me to discover an artistic side that had been hidden. I admit to enjoying the “wow, how did you do that” moments and learning to relax and letting the artistic side do its magic.
I do occasionally teach, have written articles for polymer clay magazines and have several pieces of my work in different books on polymer clay. I focus on “fun”ctional artwork including items for home and office as well as unique wearable art.
