Born in 1968 and raised in Utah, Cindy developed a love of the wide open spaces of the Intermountain West. Her mother, an oil painting artist and a performing artist, surrounded their family with music, art, and culture. Their native heritage taught her a love of the land and all of earth’s creatures as she learns and practices the ways of her Eastern Cherokee ancestors.
Cindy shares her gift of sight to include you in her journey to her native soul. As you follow her, you begin to see the patterns and her story. Each image holds energy of those people, places, or things that transfix and inspire the wonder within her. Her art is her gift to the world. See the details of places that she goes to commune with spirit. In the hustle and bustle of our busy lives, she has the ability to take the art enthusiast to a place that quiets the world and gives you a breath to escape (just for a minute). Enjoy the colors and textures, as well as, cultures and our beautiful world!
She has currently collections showing at the CVCA Ellen Eccles Bullen Center Artists' Gallery in Logan, Utah. She has pieces shown in the downtown Alpine Art gallery ‘Honoring Utah Artist show in Salt Lake City. And, has a gallery on National Geographic’s website, as well as, private collections hosted throughout United States. She resides in Cache Valley with her family.
I love working in visual arts to create beauty and cultural awareness. Stop for a moment and be transported to awaken your soul. Allow the details to be recognized and appreciate places and cultures often hidden. These places I share with you are sacred. Many lessons and insights came during these trips. I hope these images move you, intrigue, and delight you. Most of all, I hope they bless you. Cedar burning...
